We were lucky enough to schedule this sibling session on the ONE sunny day we’ve seen so far this June! The children were happy to be outside and I was happy to be able to catch some real moments with these sweet kiddos (and their parents).

Inspired by the coupon lady, I have made the decision that summertime fun will not break the bank this year. If you look for them, there are a lot of free or low cost activities that are kid friendly in our area. I have posted a couple of the activities that I found for this week June 14-20th:

Tacoma Art Museum is hosting its monthly “FREE Third Thursday” this week on June 17th. In addition to free admission and extended hours (10am-8pm) there will also be two free programs. At 4:30pm author Linda Fortune will talk about her book (it’s about her cat) and discuss the feelings of animals and at 6:00pm the Pierce County Humane Society will talk about the speaking language of animals. The presentations may be geared towards older kids. What a great (and FREE) opportunity to share art appreciation and culture with your kids!

Puyallup is throwing it’s annual Meeker Days street festival this Friday through Sunday! Aside from the interesting booths and fun crafts there is also a kids stage that will be hosting fun shows like interactive music, a magic show, kids karaoke (how cute is THAT), a let’s pretend circus, Irish dancers, a cheerleading demonstration….. the list goes on! There will also be a Kidzone with inflatable rides, a rock climbing wall, and bungie jumping, and $1 ice cream cones. Check it out at www.puyallupmainstreet.com
